HBM Restoration is a mitigation company and general contractor that specializes in restoring compromised properties back to the pre-loss condition. The full-time Restoration Estimator is responsible for evaluating and estimating the costs associated with restoration projects. This role involves analyzing the extent of damage, and preparing detailed estimates to guide project planning and budgeting. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure accurate and timely estimates that facilitate efficient project execution and client satisfaction. The Restoration Estimator will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to provide clear communication and transparent pricing, ensuring that all aspects of the restoration process are understood.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluating and estimating the costs associated with restoration projects
Analyzing extent of damage
Preparing detailed estimates to guide project planning and budgeting
Ensure accurate and timely estimates that facilitate efficient project execution and client satisfaction
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to provide clear communication and transparent pricing
Ensuring that all aspects of restoration process are understood
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
IICRC certification
Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification
Must be able to pass background check for insurance purposes
Must have work availability 24/7, able to do On-call and weekend work as well as assist in emergency projects as necessary.
Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance claim process
Comprehensive knowledge the estimating software - Xactimate
Comprehensive knowledge the camera software - Matterport
Comprehensive knowledge of water mitigation and dry logs
Thorough knowledge of construction basics
Thorough knowledge of OSHA standards and requirements for the construction industry
2-3 years experience in the property restoration, construction industry
2-3 years experience in working with insurance carriers and adjusters on water/mold/fire/damage claims
Working in a 24/7, 365 business and/or being on-class
Experience with TPA programs such as Encircle, MICA and Itel.
Must have good communication skills
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Acrobat reader, email communication experience
Time card review of employees
Physical Requirements:
Ability to interface with customers, insurance, technicians, employees and management
Ability to use a laptop, computer, cell phone (answer incoming and outgoing calls and responding to text messages)
Ability to drive vehicle for extended periods
Heavy physical work required, standing, stretching, reaching, bending, crawling, squatting, kneeling, and climbing
The work sites may be contaminated with heavy smoke residue, mold and mildew, contaminated water or other unsanitary conditions. Protective gear is available for use and is required on some heavily contaminated work sites.
Schedule:
Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri: 7:30am – 4pm primarily
Availability to work 24/7: on-call, weekend work, and assist emergency calls/projects as needed.
Compensation:
$75,000 - $80,000/per year
No Commission bonuses
