Energetic and detail-oriented office professional needed for a full-time hourly position at Kona Queen Hawaii in Captain Cook.

ABOUT US:

Kona Queen began in 1975 and has become one of the largest producers of queen bees in the world. We are a family-owned company that is passionate about our bees and our people. Our family has been steering the ship since 2016 and we continue to do our best to carry on Kona Queen’s important legacy in the beekeeping industry.

ABOUT YOU:

First and foremost – you are willing and able to work around honey bees. While the bulk of the bees remain outdoors we do get a few strays in the office and you will need to be comfortable walking the property with bees flying around.

You are a reliable, team-oriented person with a solid work ethic. You put your best foot forward and take pride in a job well done. You are looking for a dynamic job in a company with room to grow. Bonus points if you are interested in honey bees and appreciate their crucial role in agriculture!

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

You must be able to reliably commute to our location on Napo’opo’o Road in Captain Cook for a 7am start time. The Kona Queen Hawaii office hours are 7am – 4pm Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will possess skills in the following areas:

Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Working knowledge of Quickbooks (preferred but not required)

Excellent customer service skills

Strong time management skills

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Critical thinking & problem-solving skills

Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team

WHAT TO EXPECT:

This position will assist in the day-to-day operations of our business. Working in agriculture keeps us on our toes and the daily needs of our business literally change with the weather. While the ideal candidate should be ready to adapt to changing priorities, you can expect an average day to include these tasks:

Answering phones

Taking customer orders

Preparing shipping documents

Scanning / Filing documents

Responding to company e-mails

Inventory tracking & supply ordering

Communicating with field employees

Processing invoices & payments in Quickbooks

Preparing and organizing internal communications

COMPENSATION:

Kona Queen Hawaii offers competitive pay based on experience. The wage for this position is $25/hour. Performance-based bonuses and raises are available for qualified candidates.
