General Construction Company located in Kahului seeking a qualified and experienced applicant for administrative assistant position.
We are a small organization looking for someone who wants to be part of a bigger mission. Must be a self-starter. The job description includes general office duties, knowledge of office equipment, computers and office protocols. Must be experienced with QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Office Suite, and MAPPS (Maui's Automated Planning and Permitting System), and experienced enough with computers and software to learn and/or adapt to new programs and systems.
Prefer minimum 2 years experience working in the construction industry, or some area of construction admin.
We are builders. You will work closely with the Office Manager and be part of the office administrative team that supports our customers, the General Contractor, employees in the field, and subcontractors working projects in progress.
Other tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Filing, bidding, and handling administrative duties
Paperwork and documentation for projects
Coordinating schedules and communication with customers and contractors for ongoing construction jobs
Ordering supplies, equipment, working closely with employees in the field
Communication with county, state and local offices, and filing all necessary paperwork for permits, compliance with safety regulations, etc.
Attention to detail is a MUST
Excellent communication skills, in person and on the phone
Experience can vary as well as salary requirements
Knowledge Macintosh computers
