Primary purpose: Under the supervision of the Meals Coordinator, deliver meals to the agency's clientele.
$14.60/hour
Essential duties/functions:
- Pack and deliver meals to program participants.
- Report program changes, delivery problems, and client concerns.
- Prepare records of attendance, meal counts, and mileage.
- Update meal delivery route information.
- Attend meetings.
- Monitor participants' home and health situation for health or other problems.
- Maintain safe and sanitary vehicles, program equipment, and supplies.
- Clean and sanitize food delivery containers.
Other duties/functions:
- Refer clients to appropriate programs for assistance.
- Train new staff.
- Perform other duties as required.
Working conditions: Both indoors and outdoors.
Equipment Use: Daily use of company and/or access to own vehicle and use of utility cart is required.
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, hours to be scheduled. Some overtime may be required.
Mental demands: Duties require frequent alertness. Some mathematical ability and use of judgment is required.
Physical demands: Duties require pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 40 bs. (food containers and supplies). Requires frequent working at other sites.
Communication demands: Requires some communication with immediate supervisor and co-workers, and frequent communication with program participants.
Qualification requirements: Must have valid driver's license, current auto insurance and satisfactory traffic abstract.
