WOMEN HELPING WOMEN is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: House Maintenance Manager

This position is summarized as follows:

To ensure proper maintenance and operation of Women Helping Women's Shelter. To support the overall program philosophy statement and policies of Women Helping Women.

Duties include coordinating household chores, shopping for food and supplies, coordinating grounds and facilities maintenance, preparing rooms for new residents, as well as stepping in to handle crisis calls and provide in-person services to shelter residents, and other assigned duties

Position details include:

40 hours per week: 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday

$20 per hour; semi-monthly pay periods

position reports to the Shelter Director

located at Women Helping Women's Upcountry shelter

benefits include: medical (choice of HMSA HMO, HMSA PPO or Kaiser HMO), dental (HDS), retirement account (403b plan with 3% WHW base contribution), generous PTO/paid time off (10 hours accrued twice a month, starting with first pay period) and holiday policy (all State holidays except election day).

Requirements for this job include:

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Hawaii driver’s license; insurable driving record

Household problem solving skills

Ability to handle minor building maintenance projects personally and coordinate outside services for more difficult tasks

Must be willing to undergo criminal history background check (including State/FBI fingerprinting) and child welfare services background check. These are only required after job offer is made; WHW does not do credit history checks.
