Seeking a community oriented, energetic individual with a positive attitude to conduct outreach, providing families with information on early childhood education (ECE) options and assistance with enrollment into preschool and tuition subsidies.
Duties & Responsibilities: Meet with families in designated communities to encourage participation in early childhood education programs. This may include door to door canvassing and event coordination. Assist families with the identification of an appropriate program, and the completion and submission of necessary forms and required documents. Identify and participate in community events to increase awareness for INPEACE programs. Maintain positive relationships with partner agencies.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, with 2 years related experience. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of the importance of early childhood education and ECE resources in the community.
Preferred, but not required: Associates degree in early childhood education or related field.
Knowledge and sensitivity to the interests and needs of families in Native Hawaiian and/or poverty communities.
