Let’s face it — if you think “admin work” means hiding behind a mountain of paper and praying for late Fridays, think again. At BGCM, our Admin Assistants are the glue, gears, and good vibes that keep our mission-driven machine humming.
We’re Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui, and we’re searching for an Administrative Assistant who brings energy to every email, order to every filing system, and a smile to the day-to-day that keeps our Directors (and our youth!) moving forward.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing (beyond keeping the office snack drawer stocked):
Drafting clear, polished correspondence and reports that make our leadership shine.
Proofreading everything from grant docs to thank-you notes — your eagle eye is legendary.
Scheduling meetings, booking travel, and coordinating logistics like a backstage pro.
Crafting agendas and capturing meeting minutes that people actually read.
Maintaining tidy electronic and paper filing systems so no file ever hides again.
Managing office supplies like a superhero stock controller — pens, paper, and printer ink beware!
Answering calls with warmth, directing inquiries, and taking messages that get back to the right person.
Running work-related errands (coffee runs count), and pitching in wherever the day takes you.
Who You Are:
A people-person who thrives on structure, thrives on variety, and doesn’t mind a little organized chaos.
Fiercely detail-oriented — you spot typos faster than autocorrect ever could.
Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and deadlines without breaking a sweat.
A whiz with Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Pro — and a keyboard that clicks at 50+ wpm.
Always professional, endlessly friendly, and 100% committed to confidentiality.
What You Need:
High school diploma or equivalent (and bonus respect if you’ve got extra coursework in office administration).
At least one year of clerical or administrative experience in a busy setting.
Valid Hawai‘i driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
