The Coffee Roaster is responsible for roasting green coffee to specific profiles and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, sensory evaluation skills, and basic mechanical knowledge of roasting equipment.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain roasting equipment.
Follow roast profiles and document batches.
Conduct quality checks on roasted coffee (color, weight, moisture).
Clean and maintain roasting area and equipment.
Collaborate with the Production Manager on scheduling and quality control.
Assist in cuppings and profile development as needed.
Weigh and bag roasted coffee according to packaging specs.
Label and seal bags accurately.
Track batch and date codes.
Assemble wholesale and online orders for shipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
Experience with commercial roasting equipment preferred.
Sensory awareness and basic coffee knowledge.
Ability to follow precise instructions and adjust as needed.
Strong attention to detail.
