Job Title: Legal Assistant/Office Clerk
Status: Full Time
Supervisor: Paralegal Admin Manager / Office Administrator
Summary: Provides support to all Practice Areas and Admin
Duties:
Collections
1. Scans and names incoming mail and faxes for Collections
2. Place outgoing faxes into case mail
3. Attaches scanned documents to the case file
4. Enters information re returned mail and green cards in amicus file and attaches green card to hard copy;
5. Transmits documents to courts, Bureau of Conveyances as requested
6. Drafts transmittal's and minimal legal correspondences
7. Updates the firm system with updated file notes as necessary
General Matters
1. As requested, scans and names documents and processes faxes for General Matters
Admin
1. As requested, scans documents for Admin matters
2. Relieves the office receptionist which includes greeting visitors, signing for documents and answering office main line as needed
3. Distributes hard copies of mail as necessary delivery to attorneys and admin via mail boxes in copy room
4. Assists with other office needs as requested
