Legal Assistant - (Estate Planning)
Clay Iwamura Pulice & Nervell seeks a full-time legal assistant to join our growing Estates, Probate and Trust department.
This position provides legal assistant support to three attorneys and a senior paralegal specializing in the area of estate planning, probate and trust administration.
Successful candidates will either have experience with the following responsibilities or demonstrate a strong willingness and ability to learn them:
Notary Public – Ideally already certified, or willing to become a notary public.
Document Preparation and Correspondence – Ability to format and prepare letters, transmittals, and emails for corresponding with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
JEFS Filing – Familiarity with the Judiciary Electronic Filing System (JEFS), particularly for filing probate documents, trust proceedings, and Land Court petitions.
Bureau of Conveyances - familiarity with Land Court v. Regular System, able to record deeds and pull up relevant information and documents.
Tech-Savvy – Able to learn and efficiently use office technology, including scanning, secure uploading/downloading, file compression, and working with document management and case management software.
