Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, as well as the ability to drive profitability through effective inventory control and logistics management.
Duties
Manage daily warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and distribution center activities.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of warehouse management systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor profit loss statements and develop strategies to improve financial performance.
Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure seamless transportation management.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff to foster a productive team atmosphere.
Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy in stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
Utilize forklift equipment safely and have certification card for loading and unloading goods as necessary.
Skills. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and techniques.
Proficiency in operating warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and shipments.
Experience with profit loss analysis to inform decision-making processes.
Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures within a distribution center environment.
Understanding of transportation management principles, including NVOCC operations.
Ability to effectively manage a team while promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the capability to troubleshoot operational challenges quickly.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
