JOB OVERVIEW
- Responsible for mowing, trimming, raking, seeding, irrigating, weeding, fertilizing, patching and preparing areas for new turf to ensure it remains in optimal condition
- Maintain all irrigation systems for property
- Operate medium-duty grounds equipment
- Operate and maintain equipment including but not limited to zero turn mower, walk behind reel mower, walk behind rotary mower, line trimmer, edger and spreader
- Identify turf diseases, pests and other health issues, and recommend appropriate treatment
- Identify safety risks such as raised roots or holes and remediate appropriately
- Gather, remove and dispose of green-waste and/or trash materials
- Operate, inspect, audit, maintain, adjust and repair the existing systems to ensure they perform at maximum efficiency and conserve water
- Set and maintain automatic irrigation systems to ensure adequate moisture for plantings
- Design, install, test and maintain new irrigation systems, backflow devices and controllers
- Assist with other estate grounds keeping tasks as necessary
