We are seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at our Adult Day Health. As a DSP, you will assist clients with daily living activities, encourage independence, and help them lead fulfilling lives within their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to individuals at our day program and community settings.
Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, ICP changes and toileting.
Support individuals feeding.
Promote independence through skill-building activities, including communication, transportation, and community integration.
Document care provided, progress toward goals, and incidents according to agency policies and procedures.
Implement individual service plans (ISPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs).
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all individuals served.
Collaborate with families, guardians, case managers, and other professionals as needed.
Attend required training and staff meetings.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, part-time, and flexible shifts available.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Ability to assist individuals with mobility and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for the role).
Ability to pass background checks (Fieldprint).
CPR/First Aid certification
2-step TB Clearance
Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in caregiving, social work, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus but not required.
Starting hourly: $16.50 - $20.00 based on experience
