Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The plumber will ensure that all plumbing systems function properly and safely while adhering to local codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Install pipes, fixtures, and appliances such as water heaters, faucets, sinks, toilets, and more according to blueprints and building codes.
Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of plumbing systems to ensure efficient operation. Replace worn-out pipes, fixtures, or valves as needed.
Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues such as leaks, clogged drains, broken pipes, and malfunctioning water heaters.
Troubleshooting: Use specialized tools and techniques to identify plumbing problems and determine the best course of action for repair or replacement.
Code Compliance: Ensure all work is done in compliance with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, provide solutions, and ensure satisfaction with work completed.
Emergency Services: Respond to emergency plumbing situations, including flooding, broken pipes, and other urgent issues.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
Team Collaboration: Work with other construction professionals (contractors, electricians, etc.) on larger building projects.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a plumber or construction knowledge
Licensed plumber (specific license depending on state or region requirements)
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and techniques
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good physical condition and strength to perform manual labor
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to shop - use of company vehicle to and from job site
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with advanced plumbing systems (e.g., commercial, industrial, or large-scale systems)
Knowledge of green plumbing solutions or energy-efficient systems
Certification in backflow prevention or other specialized areas of plumbing
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to [X] lbs.)
Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and high places
Must be able to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods
