One Kalakaua Senior Living is hiring for On-Call Maintenance. The Maintenance person is primarily responsible for inspecting the building, grounds and equipment. They are also responsible to conduct daily routine maintenance tasks, security checks, stocking and
cleaning of the facility. This position also assists with emergent operational needs and requests.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED and two (2) years experience in hotel and/or residential maintenance required. Technical school background or equivalent experience. Experienced in using hand tools and cleaning equipment. Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Communicates effectively, both orally and written, using proper speech and grammar.
REASONING ABILITY: Able to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Uses good judgment, takes initiative in identifying hazards, notices residents changes in condition or other situations and responds appropriately and timely.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands require being able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis and stand for 80% of the time. Must be able to move quickly, push, pull climb, bend, stoop, squat, twist, crawl, reach, balance and climb ladders up to 25 feet. Fine and gross motor skills preferred.
Schedule: varies. Including holidays and weekends; must have flexible schedule to cover other shifts as needed.
