Maintenance-Utility (Full-time)

Full-time Maintenance-Utility employee wanted for AOAO Island Colony. High Rise Mixed-Use busy condominium complex in Waikiki. Must be dependable, work independently, be a team player, have good communication skills, a positive attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn and be a part of a dynamic team!

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Maintenance-Utility position supports AOAO Island Colony Maintenance Department and Property by performing a variety of essential duties, listed below, and other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:

Maintains a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment in property common areas for residents, tenants, guests, and AOAO staff.

Clearly communicates with AOAO Management and other members of team to coordinate, perform, and facilitate daily duties.

Greet and interact with people encountered while on duty in positive and professional manner

Participates in day-to-day cleaning activities, which include but are not limited to:

o General cleaning, wiping, vacuuming, mopping, removing items/emptying trash, pick up/distribution of towels, sweeping, shampooing of carpets, polishing, dusting, window cleaning, clean/sanitize bathrooms, fitness center, conference room, offices, etc.

Maintains regular and consistent punctuality and attendance.

Demonstrates and models a calm demeanor during periods of high volume and activity.

Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and ability to work in fast paced, mixed-use high-rise condominium.

And any other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor, Operations Manager, and or AOAO Management for property

Able to accomplish light maintenance items as needed in conjunction with Maintenance and Utility staff.

Work with first responders during emergency situations.

Important to be able to lift 50 lbs.

Be flexible to cover open shifts if needed and available to work all shifts including shifts on weekends and holidays.

Other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor, Operations Manager and or Assistant General Manager.

Experience:

3+ years of hospitality and or customer service experience at a large residential, commercial complex, business, or multi-unit community.

Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Personality/attitudes: Must be patient and be able to handle self in a professional manner. Must be friendly, congenial and tolerant, able to work harmoniously and effectively with wide range of people. Must be flexible and adaptable, multi-task oriented, and ability to work and thrive in a fast paced and busy mixed-use condominium environment.

Compensation:

Hourly – Starting from $17.00/hour with increase after 90-day probation
