We are looking to hire a highly motivated individual, dependable, trustworthy, good customer service and detail-oriented to join Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM). The full-time Janitorial position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the building based on assigned cleaning duties located in Koloa (Kauai) at a shopping center.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain high standard of cleanliness of assigned duties (sweep, dust, mop, clean spills, restrooms, office, sidewalk, walk pathway, window seals, railings, stairway, parking lot, and wipe down areas)
Restock cleaning supplies
Empty trash receptacles, wastebaskets, recyclables and properly dispose to designated area.
Multi-task, work efficiently both independently and as a team
Follow safety procedures
Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times
Communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, vendors and property manager
Report safety issues or building problems (i.e. burnt light bulbs, etc.)
Notify appropriate HBM employee of the supplies and equipment that are needed for cleaning duties.
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED preferred
Previous janitorial, custodian experience preferred or related experience
Must have good public relations skills and communication
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday 6a-2:30p and Saturday 1p-9:30p
Compensation range: $16.50/per hour

Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Must have good public relations skills and communication
Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp
objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, stair and climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shifts.
