Position Overview:
As an Outdoor Hemp Farmer and Property Landscaper, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our outdoor hemp cultivation operations while also maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our property's landscaping. This role requires a blend of agricultural expertise, landscaping skills, and a passion for sustainable farming practices.
Responsibilities:
1. Hemp Cultivation:
- Oversee all stages of outdoor hemp cultivation, including planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting.
- Monitor plant health and implement pest control measures as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards for hemp cultivation.
2. Field Management:
- Maintain clean and organized hemp fields, including weed control and irrigation system maintenance.
- Implement crop rotation and soil enrichment strategies to optimize yield and soil health.
- Coordinate with the farm manager to schedule planting and harvesting activities.
3. Landscaping:
- Design and maintain landscaping features across the property.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and pruning to keep the property looking its best.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants.
4. Equipment Operation:
- Operate and maintain farming equipment such as tractors, plows, and cultivators.
- Safely handle and store agricultural chemicals and fertilizers in accordance with company policies and regulations.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members to achieve farm production goals and maintain a positive working environment.
- Assist with additional farm tasks and projects as needed, including greenhouse operations and indoor cultivation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in outdoor farming or landscaping is preferred.
- Knowledge of hemp cultivation practices and agricultural techniques is desirable.
- Ability to operate farm equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing weather conditions and seasonal workload demands.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
