The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for the following duties:
Basic custodial care during the school day including ensuring adequate supply of paper products, soap etc. as well as ordering supplies for such
Assist with traffic flow and parking daily
Support event set up and break down as needed (occasionally in the evening or on the weekend)
Conduct small repairs and maintenance work at the direction of the Property Manager
Maintain landscaping and related equipment as needed
Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of buildings and other equipment
Maintain an organized maintenance schedule as well as organized supplies/storage spaces
Support security of buildings and facilities
Respond to emergent issues on campus during the day
The Assistant Property Manager will also provide superior customer service and communication to the students, families, employees, and guests of Haleakalā Waldorf School and participate in community building activities.
The ideal candidate for this position:
School custodial experience a plus but not required
Great communication skills

Must have valid Hawaii Driver License
Able to adapt to changing circumstances
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to read and work from scaled drawings
Knowledge of basic construction, routine maintenance, repair and safety procedures
Knowledge of basic landscaping tool use (mower and weed whacking)

Plan and perform daily assigned tasks and work orders and prepare materials needed and equipment required for such
Repairs and performs preventive maintenance on facilities
Ability to collaborate with others in high stress environments
Operate hand tools, power tools, and gauges
Maintains compliance with local safety regulations
Performs other related duties as assigned
