Assisting with various tasks during flooring installations, including preparing surfaces, removing old flooring, and transporting materials. Requires physical strength, heavy lifting and carrying and the ability to follow instructions, working under the guidance of more experienced installers.
Key Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation: This includes cleaning, leveling, and preparing the subfloor for new flooring.
Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and transporting materials to and from the job site.
Removal of Existing Flooring: Removing old flooring materials and disposing of them properly.
Assisting with Installation: Assisting with laying flooring materials, applying adhesive, and securing materials.
Cleaning and Maintaining: Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Following Instructions: Adhering to instructions from supervisors and more experienced installers.
Skills and Abilities:
Physical Strength: Lifting and carrying heavy materials.
Ability to Follow Instructions: Working under the guidance of others.
Basic Construction Knowledge: Understanding basic flooring installation processes.
Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other workers.
