We are currently seeking a dedicated Custodian to join out team at a busy, round the clock veterinary hospital. This role is critical to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for all patients, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all areas of the hospital are clean, sanitized and well maintained.
-Perform routine cleaning tasks, including but not limited to; sweeping, mopping and dusting.
- Disposal of medical waste in compliance with health and safety standards
-Assist in the setup and breakdown of hospital meetings/events
-Report and maintenance issues or safety hazards to management team immediately.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles; preferably in a health care setting (but not required)
-Strong understanding of cleaning techniques and safety protocols
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
-Availability to work in shifts, including early mornings, weekends and holidays
