Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Worker to join our cricket farm team. As a Farm Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our farm, from cricket husbandry to preparing crickets for shipment. Your skills and expertise will contribute to the growth and maintenance of our cricket farm, as well as the care and handling of our crickets. Duties
- Disinfect and clean cricket bins, water bottles, racking and rooms with a bleach solution.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the farm.
- Change, divide, and prepare bins for crickets.
- Adhere to Biosecurity measures, and ensure cricket populations are healthy.
- Count and box/package crickets.
- Prepare packaging and shipping materials for distribution of crickets.
- Light landscaping and husbandry of other livestock on the farm as needed.
Requirements
- Winning Attitude.
- Ability to come to work in clean unsoiled clothing each shift.
- Ability to work with bleach for extended periods of time with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
- Ability to lift and move 50 pounds of feed and supplies.
- Physical stamina to perform moderate work for extended periods.
- Ability to learn and adhere to biosecurity and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing farm conditions.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Must be able to pass a national background check and have reliable transportation.
