Hawaii Off-Grid is an Architecture and Engineering firm located in Haiku with a focus on sustainability and modern design. We are expanding our firm into a Design Build and looking for new team members.
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will support daily construction operations, assist skilled tradespeople, and ensure job sites remain safe, clean, and organized. This role is vital to the smooth progress of each project, requiring both physical stamina and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
-Perform general construction tasks such as loading/unloading materials, digging, lifting, and moving equipment.
-Assist carpenters, masons, and other skilled workers as needed.
-Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment safely.
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site.
-Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
-Help with site preparation and cleanup before, during, and after projects.
-Report any hazards, incidents, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
What we are looking for:
-Previous construction or labor experience preferred, but not required.
-Ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors, and stand for extended periods.
-Knowledge of basic construction tools and equipment a plus.
-Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors and foremen.
-Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
-Good attitude/ a team player.
-Valid driver’s license, and working vehicle/transportation
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
-Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions.
-Lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods.
-Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
-Exposure to varying weather conditions.
What we offer:
-Full-Time Position
-Compensation: DOE/ range $28- $40/hr
-90-Day Training/Probation period
-13 Paid Holidays a year / 12 PTO days a year
