We are looking for Construction Foreman AND Carpenter Helpers for Residential Construction.
Job Summary
The Working Foreman, performs a wide variety of carpentry works that includes working with wood and its structures, adhering to accepted procedures and techniques of the carpenter trade. Performs other related duties as assigned. Has the ability to manage a crew of 2 or more individuals. We are also looking for Carpenter Helpers to assist Foremans.
Essential Responsibilities
Works from blueprints, sketches, and drawings in addition to verbal and written descriptions to determine materials and equipment required to accomplish the job. Communicates results to Project Manager for review and changes as necessary.
Lays out work, cuts, saws, joins, glues, and assembles lumber, rough framing, and allied materials in the repair of buildings including window screen repairs/constructing new screens, addition to existing buildings and renovations. Evaluates and adheres to the construction schedule provided by the Project Manager.
Installs wood or steel framing to rough-in windows, doors, walls, dry walls, acoustic soundproofing, thermal insulation in ceilings and walls, air conditioning window units, ceiling fans, floors, ceilings, stairs, decorative paneling, laminated plastics, and acoustical tile in interior and exterior structures, and other carpentry related work.
Rough Carpentry includes- Residential construction wood framing ground up construction, large additions & full remodeling. Concrete & Masonry experience a plus
Finish Carpentry Includes- Builds closets, counters, shelves, cabinets, doors, bulletin boards, white boards, windows, and wall panels and other related finish carpentry items, including installation of hardware.
Other duties include- Dismantles/demolishes and removes designated items prior to the commencement of repairs, new construction or renovation as needed.
Miscellaneous duties that include dismantling and cleaning door locks, installing and adjusting door closures.
Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications - An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the requirements listed.
High school diploma/GED.
More than 5 years of related work experience for Working Foreman position.'
