Carpenter / Maintenance Technician
Location: The Villages at Waipio AOAO – Waipahu, HI
Compensation: $25–$28+ per hour (DOE)

The Villages at Waipio AOAO is a 21-building townhome community located on a 13-acre property in Waipio Gentry, featuring a recreation center, playground, and pool area. We take pride in maintaining a safe, beautiful, and welcoming environment for our residents.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a Carpenter / General Maintenance Technician who is motivated, dependable, and customer service–oriented. This position focuses on maintaining the exterior of our buildings, common areas, and amenities.
Note: Landscaping services are performed by an outside vendor—this role does not include landscaping duties.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general carpentry, construction, and repair work
Conduct preventative and routine maintenance on property exteriors and amenities
Perform minor electrical, plumbing, irrigation, painting, and pool maintenance tasks
Pressure wash and maintain building exteriors and common areas
Provide occasional office coverage when the Resident Manager is unavailable (training provided)
Participate in weekend and holiday pool maintenance rotation
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (trade education or carpentry training preferred)
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in residential maintenance or carpentry
Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more consistently
Knowledge of construction, preventative maintenance, and power tools
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required (training and testing provided if not already certified)
Schedule & Benefits
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40+ hours weekly
o Every other weekend and holiday rotation for pool maintenance (minimum 2 hrs/day paid)
