New boat shop looking to hire someone to help with all aspects of boat building and restoration. Experience preferred but willing to train the right person with a good attitude and ability to learn quickly and be a team player. Our goal is to support the local fishing community with quality work on an agreed upon timeline.
We work with polyester resin and fiberglass and various composites to build and restore fishing boats. We use various power tools, grinders, sanders as needed. The ideal candidate must be familiar with the proper use of each and be able to do so safely. Safety gear is important as well.
Bonus if you have past experience with woodworking/carpentry and general fabrication.
This is a part-time position to start and the schedule is flexible and generally Monday - Friday. This is an independent contractor position and pay is based on experience. The boat shop is in Mountain View roughly 25 minutes from the Puainako Center.
