One Kalakaua Senior Living Association has immediate openings for a couple of Housekeeping positions. The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness, practicing proper infection control and neatness of assigned resident apartments and common areas.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED. Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required. Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
REASONING ABILITY: Able to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Uses good judgment, takes initiative in identifying hazards, notices residents changes in condition or other situations and responds appropriately and timely.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands require being able to move up to 50 pounds by pushing, pulling, carrying and/or stretching about 80% of the time. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to push/pull and maneuver vacuum cleaners and other cleaning appliances, as needed. Ability to move quickly, climb, bend, stoop, crawl, squat, twist, reach and balance.
Schedule: Day Shift. Must be able to work on Weekends and Holidays.
