Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a commitment to ensuring the best possible care for our patients. Experience is not required, as we provide on-site training for all new hires!
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take X-rays and perform medical imaging as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records using Carestack software, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure the sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, making children feel comfortable during their visits.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, but not required.
Familiarity with Carestack software is a plus.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Previous experience in a dental clinic or pediatric dentistry setting is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, parents, and team members.
