Requirements:
- Completion of accredited MA program, previous experience preferred.
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday-Saturday.
- Motivated candidate must work well with others, able to manage multiple tasks, and be reliable and punctual
- At least 1 year commitment preferred
Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist front and back office staff with scheduling appointments, patient registration, collecting payments, preparing exam rooms
- Maintain medical supplies inventory and perform preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
- Prepare patients for examination by interviewing patient/parent, recording medical history, obtaining height and weight measurements and vital signs, performing hearing and vision screening
- Administer immunizations
- Help physicians with minor office procedures
- Secure patient information and maintaining patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential.
- Able to learn how to use the office’s electronic medical record
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
