Medical Assistant (Honolulu Hawaii)
We are looking for a personable, certified Medical Assistant for an Internal Medicine private practice.
We are looking for someone with a good attitude, a strong work ethic, and a desire to help us provide medical care to the highest standards. Excellent customer service and ability to multi-task. Previous experience in a medical office is highly desirable.
Your job will include checking patients in and out, utilizing an electronic medical record to chart, assisting the physician, performing EKGs and injections and performing simple in-office lab tests.
DUTIES INCLUDE
1. Answering multi-line phones and scheduling appointments.
2. Verifying insurance and collecting co-payments
3. Sending inter office and outside referrals
4. Scheduling lab test
5. Checking in patients for vitals, make sure labs and radiology are ready for review.
6. copies of medical records, letter of disability, copies of labs, etc
7. Procedures; accu checks ,immunizations, pregnancy tests, urinalysis, ABI, Spiromltry, wound care; cleaning, dressing, etc
8. Calling in medications to pharmacy
9. Balance daily deposit/cash box and close out credit card batch
10. EMR system
HOURS:
40 hours/week
Saturday morning required

Per experience
