We are an Integrative Naturopathic Clinic seeking a part-time certified medical assistant/receptionist with a medical assistant degree.
Must be interested, open-minded, with a willingness to learn about Naturopathic/Integrative/Holistic/Functional Medicine.
Located in the Aiea Medical Building at 99-128 Aiea Heights Dr. Aiea, HI 96701.
You are the first impression of the company for visitors or callers, so it is important to be friendly, possess excellent communication skills and be helpful at all times.
Job Responsibilities for Front Office:
Greet and welcome patients to the office
Schedule and confirm appointments
Check patients in and out
Handle multi-line phone
Answer all inquiries
Return calls and follow through
Data entry of completed services
Collection of payments
Balance daily transactions and collections
Prepare daily schedules and charting
Complete and submit insurance forms
Contact pharmacies for refill prescriptions
Maintain inventory of office, medical, supplements and lab supplies
Assist with other general clerical duties
Receive, order, and stock shelves
Make herbal teas and tinctures
Must be ok with light cleaning (water plants, wash dishes, take out trash, vacuuming, clean bathroom and other housekeeping tasks)
Job Responsibilities for Back Office:
Obtain patient medical information and history
Collect and record patient vital signs, weight, and height
Prepare examination rooms for physician
Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens as needed
Log and prepare specimens for testing
Communicate physician instructions to patients, including treatment procedures, medications, and diets
Assist physician during examinations
Urinalysis
Alert physician regarding abnormal lab values
Clean and sterilize instruments.
IV skills (Phlebotomy, IV catheter insertion/removal, IM injections) a plus. Will train the right person in these skills.

Hours:
Offering two days per week (15 hours/week) and must be flexible with hours. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:45am to 4:15pm. Opportunity to transition to full-time with benefits for the right person.
