Food Service Supervisor
Under the direction of the Director of Administration, the Food Service Supervisor manages all operations involved with food service from planning, obtaining, and storing all food supplies and provisions as well as the safe and smooth operations of the kitchen.
Essential Functions
1. Responsible for the safe operation of food service for the facility, including proper cleanliness and safe maintenance of kitchen, dining room and food service equipment.
2. Implements menu planning as provided by a registered dietician and preparation and service of meals during scheduled work hours.
3. Provides overall supervision, assigns work, documents staff performance, counsels and advises staff members.
4. Orders, purchases, inventories and stores all food and supplies. Maintains records pertaining to orders, purchase and inventory of all food, equipment, and inventory related to food service.
5. Ensures that all food service complies with State of Hawaii Department of Health regulations.
Experience and Training:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Food service study in high school, community college or vocational training.
3. Two (2) years work related experience in food preparation and service.
4. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000 annually
