Caretaker (Live-In Option Available)
Location: Manoa
Full-Time or part-time. Day time or overnight shifts available.
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caretaker to provide support and companionship to our wonderful 80-year-old father. While he is mostly physically independent, he requires supervision for his sensory and visual deficits, and some assistance with daily activities. The live-in option provides a unique opportunity for the right candidate to become an integral part of his life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping
- Drive and accompany him to medical appointments and social outings
- Monitor his well-being and promptly address any health concerns
- Perform light physical therapy exercises
- Be a friendly companion and engage in meaningful conversations
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a caregiver or similar role preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt to the individual's needs
- Must be comfortable with the live-in arrangement
