Job description
The Waikiki Yacht Club is looking for a motivated individual to join our staff as a custodian.
Performs general cleaning, setup, and maintenance of WYC Facilities.
Cleaning:
Custodial daily duties include general clean-up of the Clubhouse, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning furniture, vacuuming carpets, cleaning glass and windows, and emptying rubbish bins. In addition, the custodian must perform a daily general cleaning of restrooms and shower areas.
Setup:
The custodian also assists with the Club opening and closing daily. Examples of daily setup includes making coffee, setting up umbrellas, moving tables, and raising or lowering flags.
The ideal staff member should be able to communicate in English with staff and members, work well as a part of a team, and have Aloha spirit.
Applicants must perform basic manual labor and should be willing to lift/push/pull/carry at least 30lbs, be able to routinely bend, squat and stretch throughout their shifts.
