Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Teamwork: Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the team works cohesively to meet high-quality standards.
Menu Execution: Supervise and ensure the proper execution of all menu items, maintaining consistency and excellence in presentation and flavor.
Training & Development: Mentor kitchen staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining a positive team environment.
Inventory & Cost Management: Assist in inventory control, order supplies, and manage food costs efficiently.
Quality Control: Monitor and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and safety.
Innovation: Contribute to menu development by incorporating local ingredients and creative culinary techniques.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of culinary experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Culinary Education: Formal culinary training or equivalent experience preferred.
Skills:
o Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and food safety protocols.
o Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
o Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Passion for Local Cuisine: Deep appreciation for Hawaii’s culinary heritage and local ingredients.
