Summary
As our Pastry Cook II or Pastry Cook III, you will be cooking high level cuisine with some exceptional products. Teamwork, communication, and respect are mandatory. Line cooks will work directly with Sous Chefs, Pastry Chef, and the Executive Chef. Chefs will monitor all work habits and techniques and offer feedback to ensure consistent excellence in quality. Line Cooks are responsible for setting up, breaking down, and cleaning their stations and work areas. All kitchen employees are required to work cleanly, efficiently, and intelligently. Essential Job Functions:
Execute daily preparation of plated desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the production of house-made breads, ice creams, sorbets, and confections.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and all related equipment.
Set up and stock pastry station with necessary supplies and mise en place for service.
Ensure all pastries are beautifully presented and consistent in portion, flavor, and quality.
Assist with menu changes and seasonal dessert development under the direction of the Pastry Chef / Executive Chef.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations.
Support other pastry team members during high-volume service and special events.
Qualifications:
A strong understanding of pastry fundamentals, including doughs, custards, mousses, and tempering chocolate is a plus but not required.
The ability to arrive at work on time, at your scheduled time, every time is a must.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning services.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate the restaurant's schedule.
The willingness to learn.
Required Experience:
Knowledge of fine dining kitchens is suggested but not required. We are a hands-on kitchen and will train you in the necessary processes.
Ideally our candidate would have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pastry Cook 2-3 or equivalent role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
Proven experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is ideal.
Experience executing plated desserts in a high-end or high-volume setting would also be ideal for our candidate
Hands-on experience with from-scratch pastry production including laminated doughs, custards, and baked items.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
