Position Summary: The Prep Cook plays a supportive role in the kitchen's daily operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. This position works under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager and contributes to a smooth and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in basic food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency in food quality.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and proper food storage.
Assist with setting up and breaking down food service areas for events or daily operations.
Adhere to all health and sanitation regulations.
Support the kitchen team with routine tasks as directed by the Kitchen Manager.
Help with inventory management by labeling and storing food items properly.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure kitchen efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
1+ years of experience, preferably in restaurant or events catering environment.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Basic understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene practices preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Must obtain a food handler’s certification (training provided if needed).
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Must be able to move around the kitchen and campus as needed.

Expected hours: 20 hours per week, with potential to transition to full-time after 90 days.

Compensation: Starting at $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
