Front Desk Receptionist (Overnight)
Job Type: Full-time – Temporary (3 months)
Scheduled: Mon-Fri – 11pm – 7:30am (overnight)
Pay Rate: $17/hr

About the role:
The Receptionist (Aloha Ambassador) is responsible for guest registration and concierge, while upholding the security of the resort. Provide attentive, courteous and provide quality aloha service to all our Apartment owners and guests. Provide a safe and secure environment for Owners, renters, guests, visitors and vendors. Implement and enforce House Rules with sincere Aloha.
Responsibilities:
● Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk.
● Maintain proper operation of the security console and ensure that all resort standards and house rules are met.
● Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation
● Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages to guests and owners.
● Review Front Office and security log daily.
● Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, tours etc.
● Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
● Complete Incident reports as required after investigation.
● Be aware of closed out and restricted dates.
● Obtain all necessary information when verifying reservations and follow procedures.
● Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assist as needed.
● Handle check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
● Use proper two-way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees.
● Be able to complete a bucket check, arrival/departure and housekeeping report.
● Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing shifts according to resort standards.
● Assist guests with special requests.
Additional requirements:
● Patrol and enforce house rules on property. Ensure a safe and secure environment
● Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
● Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
● Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
● Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
● Attend all resort required meetings and training.
● Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag. Women’s hair must be put up in a ponytail or bun.
● Comply with resort training standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
● Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
● Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
● Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
Education & Experience:
● College course work in the related field.
● Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
● High School diploma or equivalent required.
