Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 40+ employees per shift, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and driving performance. This role requires a hands-on, solution-oriented individual with excellent leadership skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Supervision:
Lead, train, and motivate a team of 40+ employees per shift.
Delegate tasks effectively to ensure all operational areas are staffed and functioning efficiently.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and ensure all employees are held accountable for their roles.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that aligns with company culture.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations, ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed efficiently.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper stock rotation.
Manage shifts and ensure that all positions are covered and staffed according to business needs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and local regulations.
Customer Service and Satisfaction:
Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns promptly and effectively.
Handle customer complaints or issues and resolve them to satisfaction in a professional manner.
Monitor customer feedback and ensure a high level of service is consistently maintained.
Staff Training and Development:
Provide training and continuous development opportunities to team members.
Monitor the performance of staff and identify areas for improvement.
Lead by example and ensure staff adhere to company standards for performance, appearance, and behavior.
Performance Monitoring:
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to ensure team productivity and efficiency.
Report to the General Manager on daily and weekly task completion, operational concerns, staffing, and other relevant matters.
Identify areas for improvement and work with the GM to implement solutions.
Problem Solving and Decision Making:
Quickly identify issues and implement corrective actions when needed.
Handle employee conflicts, scheduling issues, and other operational challenges in a timely manner.
Proactively manage crisis situations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure all team members comply with company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, performance, and daily operations.
Assist in preparing reports for the GM on staffing, sales, and other operational data as required.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to manage, motivate, and develop a large team of employees.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of inventory management, scheduling, and budgeting is preferred.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress environment.
