Buho Cocina Y Cantina located in the heart of Waikiki. Servings Island Mexican cuisine is looking for a skilled and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing a variety of dishes, following recipes, and maintaining high food quality standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Ensure food is properly portioned, cooked, and presented.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Handle and store ingredients properly to maintain freshness.
Adapt to special requests or dietary restrictions when necessary.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Food safety certification is a plus.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
