Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Ensures overall unit and public area cleanliness by effectively managing the housekeeping function and staff including staff engaged in laundry, unit preparation, and cleaning.

2) Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely matter.

3) Responsible for the training and development of housekeeping staff. Lead Housekeeper will also partner with Resort Management to determine any future training needs.

4) Responsible for preparation and maintenance of housekeeping schedule as directed by Resort Management.

5) Develop and assign daily duties of the housekeeping staff.

6) Prepare daily work orders for maintenance and follow progress to completion.

7) Serve as a primary resource to Housekeeping staff questions and involve Resort Management when appropriate including but not limited to employee injuries, leave of absence requests, and clarification of company policies.

8) Advise Resort Management of performance and personnel issues in need of review and provide feedback for annual performance reviews.

9) Manage all Housekeeping department inventory as directed by the Resort Manager. This includes but is not limited to the tracking and restocking of linen, housekeeping supplies, and guest supplies.

10) Manages guest service requests in an efficient and courteous manner.

11) Reports employee injuries and incidents to resort management or Human Resources.

12) Follows all city, county and federal government rules and regulations.

13) Follows all OSHA rules and regulations.

14) Perform or assist with cleaning and inspecting duties as necessary.

15) Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

 Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience

 Two years of related housekeeping experience.

 Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

 Ability to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with owners and staff members.

 Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Desired:

 One year of supervisory/lead experience.

Physical Demands of the Position:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and will often be required to lift 10 – 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee will be occasionally required to push/pull up to 40 pounds.
