We are looking for an experienced creative cook that wants to grow into a Chef as we grow our restaurant. MUST HAVE PASSION!
We are a small team so you have got to be reliable, organized, and clean in the kitchen. Assist in developing our recipes and guidelines for future NEW menu. The right person for this position will use their culinary experience to play an important leadership role in maintaining food quality and customers' satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Help to create and cost out the food menus and maintain portions/recipes
Make sure that every plate that goes out to a guest is both delicious and beautiful
Keep the kitchen operating in an organized way that meets quality standards
Be a problem solver in the kitchen as issues arise
Train kitchen staff and build schedule for kitchen staff
Order supplies to stock inventory as needed
KEEP THE KITCHE CLEAN AND ORGANIZED
Maintain a positive and professional culture with coworkers and customers
Requirements
3+ experience in leading a kitchen
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Organization
Handling emergency situations and providing solutions
Familiar with industry's best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
Part time or Full time opportunity
Pay based on attitude and experience
