Umeke's Fish Market Bar and Grill located in the Brewery Block of Kailua Kona is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and experienced FOH Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. . Here at Umeke's we offer Off da Hook Grindz, handcrafted cocktails and Aloha.

Responsibilities will include:

Interact with customers to ensure that excellent guest service is consistently achieved

Identify and delegate responsibilities to staff

Manage operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of the restaurant

Implement new company policies and procedures by developing plans and instructing staff

Provide direction to staff to achieve restaurant goals

Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement

Create a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service and ensuring all staff engage guests to understand their needs and exceed expectations

Train and coach staff on providing excellent guest service

Responsible for daily deposits, and correct operation of Toast POS system

Assist in new menu implementation

Develop and implement creative solutions to areas of improvement

Assist in conducting daily pre-shift meetings and assisting in any areas of the restaurant where staffing constraints require

Identify employee weakness and retain as necessary

Effectively manage the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager

Efficiently and effectively complete other duties as assigned by Management Team

Requirements & Skills:

Minimum three years of supervisory experience in a restaurant and/or service-oriented atmosphere.

Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, performing work accurately and efficiently while meeting deadlines.

Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Passionate about food and beverage with a great palette and sense of presentation.

Ability to develop, implement and maintain systems for front of house staff.

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business, including weekends and holidays.

Must be able to frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

20-30 hour per week position
