We are in search of a program leader for the farm portion of daily hospitality operations. Working closely with our culinary and guest services team to provide an outstanding customer experience and education.
Responsibilities will include leading regular tours through the farm, interacting with guests and answering questions, working to expand and develop farm tour programming (such as poor weather activities, kids programming, etc.), leading workshops, and coordinating with volunteer groups.
Job starts at 15-20 hours per week with additional hours added as the program grows.
Required Skills:
Excellent people skills, good communicator.
Comfortable engaging with geographically diverse groups, speaking publicly and working with kids.
Basic farm or gardening knowledge and willingness to become expert in regenerative agriculture.
Strong connection to Hawaii and commitment to place-based work.
Passionate about farm grown food, willingness to learn from the culinary team about how the ingredients tie together to make a meal unique to Hawaii.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in Hawaiian cultural traditions.
Experience planting, growing and harvesting.
Experience in teaching, education, or communications.
