Part-time baking position in Pahoa bakery
Bananarama Bakery now has an opening available for Baking Assistant. Position to begin early March, 2024.
Baking Assistant will be trained by and work with Lead Baker making bread, desserts, and other items as needed. Also involves regular cleaning and dishes. Desired candidates must be able to follow directions clearly and consistently, while maintaining a positive attitude. Ideal candidates will have specific commercial baking experience. Position will adhere to guidelines for food safety and will obtain a Food Handler Certificate. Restaurant experience is preferred. Enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential. A strong work ethic and good references are expected. Reliable transportation is a must.
As positions are under 20 hours per week, they are unbenefitted. $16 per hour + shared tips (typically $2-3 per hour). Shifts typically 4-8 hours (as early as 7am and as late as 8:30pm) and all positions must have weekend availability. We may consider full-time for those with extensive baking employment experience.
