Job Description
Provide technical support and consulting to customers on service solutions (installation, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment)
Be responsible for hands-on execution of projects including Startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment
Determine effective service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, or manufacture new service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost-effectively
Identify new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and internal sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood
Complete customer reports, timesheets, expenses, safety paperwork, and other daily required tasks
Plan, organize, and perform field assignments in designated areas of expertise, directing the work of other field engineers and craft labor as required

To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/ .Skills and Requirements 8+ years of experience as a field service technician Experience including leading small crews on the job Power delivery experience: Transformers, LIS Switches, Low and Medium voltage switchgear, breaker maintenance and startup on Low and Medium voltage breakers, Motor control centers, cable testing Experience in completing customer reports, timesheets, expenses, safety paperwork, etc. Understand NFPA 70E (safety guidelines in the field) Protection and control experience including different types of relays, including programming, installation, testing, and upgrading, , protective relay testing and installation, circuit breaker upgrades, understand control wiringo ATS, generator, motor, and drive experienceo PLC experience Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers (Equipment from Siemens, GE, ABB, SquareD, Multilin relays, and Schweitzer Relays) Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines (including excitation systems), controls systems nullWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
