FINN’s Honolulu office is looking for an experienced Research Services Manager to help lead development and execution of qualitative and quantitative research programs. The Research Services Manager will work in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility, quick thinking, attention to detail, commitment to deadlines, and entrepreneurial drive. As the Research Services Manager, you will have the opportunity to uncover strategic business insights for clients in a wide variety of industries. The ideal candidate brings a demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately discern client needs, develop relevant research programs, and guide a diverse team of specialists to successful project completion. You will work in a demanding and fast paced environment that requires flexibility, quick thinking, attention to detail, commitment to deadlines, and entrepreneurial drive. Additionally, you will be tasked with:

Managing all phases of qualitative and quantitative market research projects, from writing proposals to final presentations, to ensuring that the projects accomplish research objectives within the appropriate timelines/budgets.

Connecting research to other parts of the company through strong cross-functional collaboration, allowing research to be seen as a thought partner across all functions.

Overseeing planning and execution of qualitative research interviews, including serving as one of the agency’s trained moderators for individual and/or focus group discussions.

Presenting research findings and recommendations to clients upon request.

Developing and strengthening existing client partnerships, and continually exploring new partnerships and methods to stay current.

You will be considered as a candidate if you have:

Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in market research, marketing, communications, or related field.

Knowledge and understanding (or acute curiosity) of Hawaii’s culture and its impact on business.

Knowledge and understanding of the role of market research in communications, marketing and public relations.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Strong project management skills.

Solution-oriented problem-solving skills.

An ability to respond well under pressure.

A strong ability to focus on accuracy, attention-to-detail, and timeliness.

An ability to balance the needs of clients, end users, and the business.

An ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Behavioral Sciences, Marketing, or related field.

This role may require work during evenings and weekends and occasional overnight travel.

Additional preference will be given to candidates who have:

Experience in a market research agency that serves multiple clients in different industries.

Experience in a leadership role with people management responsibilities.

Knowledge of and familiarity with Hawaii business community, thought leaders, and prospective purchasers of market research and polling services.

Anticipated Salary: $75,000 -$100,000 ; salary commensurate with experience and depending upon workplace.
