POSITION PURPOSEProvide a clean, safe and well-maintained hotel for our guest. To repair and maintain all areas of the hotel including guest rooms, public areas, ballrooms and function rooms, kitchens, restaurants, executive offices, back of house, roofs, parking, and electrical and mechanical rooms.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAvg. % of Time20%Ability to maintain the physical structure of the facility. Knowledge of various trades and the ability to complete job assignments unsupervised and within schedule completion dates.20%Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and cleaning programs and update records pertaining to these programs.20%Perform routine house calls as scheduled and other duties as may be assigned.20%Process and complete all work orders assigned and ensure that work performed complies with all applicable codes, safety, sanitation rules and regulations.20%Perform routine maintenance on supply fans/ducts and registers, guestroom fan coil units, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, wall covering, painting, carpet and other areas where assigned.SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONSOTHERRegular attendance in conformance with the standards which have been established by the hotel from time to time is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of employments.Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to workvarying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with the hotel rules and regulations for the safe efficient operation of the hotel facilities.
