RESPONSIBILITIESI. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates and provides oversight for the overall planning and development of the Perinatal Patient Outreach Program for The Queen’s Health System (QHS). In conjunction with the Director, Clinical Program Dyads and Medical Directors, is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating the following activities:o Patient outreach education programso Car safety seat programso Perinatal bereavement support programso Hawaii Alliance for Innovations on Maternal Health (AIM) program initiativesII. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, seeing hearing, speaking. Frequent: lifting and carrying usual weight of 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object. Occasional: stooping, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, repetitive arm and hand motions, lifting and carrying weights of up to 10 pounds, pushing and or pulling weights of up to 3 pounds of force, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods of time.III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Master’s degree preferred. Current Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification from Safe Kids Worldwide. If not certified, certification must be obtained within one (1) year of entrance into the position. Certified as a Child Birth Educator from Lamaze, International Certified Childbirth Educator (ICCE), or Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) preferred. Certified as a Perinatal Bereavement Certification from the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses preferred. Current BLS certification.B.
