CHST, OHST with 4 years experience or; ASP/CSP/CIH/REP with 2 years experience or;
6 years within the HDCC HSE Department or;
Bachelor or Masters and 3 years or;
6 years safety experience experience or;
4 years safety and 2 years construction or;
Qualifies at all levels below SSHO on military contracts or;
Senior position-exhibits strong leadership skills and manages people.
Primary Functions & Responsibilities:
1. HSE Program Requirements
a. Role
1. The HSE Staff is responsible for the coordination and administration of the organization's HSE processes.
2. The onsite safety professional code of conduct.
3. The HSE staff has the support and authority of the most senior person in the area of their assignment for matters related to HSE.
b. The HSE Staff will demonstrate a strong and personal commitment to safety.
1. Adhere to the standards and principles of the safety professional code of conduct.
2. Ensure management support of HSE.
3. Maintain recordkeeping and documents the HSE process.
4. Know and follow all HSE procedures.
5. Act as a change agent by working to engage everyone on the project in the HSE effort.
6.Develop training programs applicable to the work performed.
7. Ensure administration of fair and consistent disciplinary and incentive programs.
8. Provide the expertise, advice, information, and tools relating to effective HSE management, the policy, programs, and procedures and regulatory requirements.
9. Focus on developing systems for prevention.
10. Provide for continued professional developement for HSE staff
